Catatonic Dawn

The sun rises, but refuses to move. A dawn stretched thin, pale and endless. Light without warmth, time without progress. This is the cup you drink when you want to feel suspended, trapped between waking and never quite arriving.

Inside the stillness, white tea Pai Mu Tan offers gentle clarity and antioxidants, chamomile soothes nerves and coaxes the body toward rest, lemongrass brightens mood and aids digestion, while mulberry leaves add grounding sweetness and help balance the system. A fragile dawn in liquid form. Delicate, calming, and paralyzingly serene.

USE AND SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Use 1 heaped teaspoon per cup. Heat water to 80–85 °C (not boiling, to protect the integrity of the white tea). Steep 3–5 minutes for a light, calming brew.

Close the ziplock firmly after each use. Keep the bag somewhere cool and dark, white tea is delicate and fades fast if exposed to light.

When the Sun froze

I brewed it at sunrise, waiting for the sky to shift. But the horizon stayed pale, unmoving. The tea cooled in my hands, and still, the day refused to begin.
